Honeymooning Sandals style!

The weekend of our wedding was crazy! We got married on a Friday night, went to the Kenny Chesney concert at Qwest Field until late on Saturday night and then woke up at about 3:30 in the morning on Sunday to catch our flight for our honeymoon!

We went to the Sandals Resort in Nassau, The Bahamas. It was amazing! It is an all-inclusive resort and literally, just about EVERYTHING is included; you aren't even allowed to tip anyone!

The trip, however, did not start off on the right foot when the airline lost my luggage. The only thing I carried on the airplane with me was my purse, so I had nothing for the first two days of our trip! The staff at the resort saved the day though! They called the airline over and over until they finally found my luggage and had it delivered to us. They even gave us a discount at the souvenier shop so I could buy a few things to get me through! (Did I mention we had packed BOTH of our toothbrushes in MY suitcase??? I'll never do that again!).

The resort has their own private beach and an off-shore private island just a short (FREE!) boat ride away that only guests of the resort are allowed to be at.

On the private island we had our own little hut with no one around!

We spent a lot of our time laying in and around the beautiful pools, one of which was right outside our room.

Isn't he cute??? The sunset isn't bad either!

All around the resort they had photographers with cameras wanting to take your picture. After they took a few pictures, they gave you a bracelet with a number on it. By the end of our trip we had quite a few bracelets so we went to the little photo hut and picked out the pictures we liked the best and they printed a couple and put the rest on a cd for us to take home.

There are eight restaurants in the resort. One of the nights we went to a restaurant called Kimonos. It was so fun! The chef cooked everything right in front of us and when he was scrambling up the eggs for the fried rice he tried to get a couple of the guys at the table with us to catch a piece of egg in their mouth. Kevin was the only guy at the whole table who was able to catch it!!!
